Mr. Lala has played imperative roles in the technical advancement and strategic planning of various organizations in Mauritius. His active participation on the board of several companies substantiates his knowledge and expertise. This diversity poses, in effect as a supplementary advantage to his credentials.
Mr. Lala has served as an Executive Partner of the local representative firm of the Arthur Andersen in which capacity; he was responsible for all practice support and development, covering training, technical developments, marketing support and strategic planning. He was also the Chairman of the Mauritius Stock Exchange Commission, the body regulating the securities industry in Mauritius.
Mr. Lala is the Founder and Technical Director of International Financial Services Ltd. and serving as the Director of SBI (Mauritius) Ltd., an offshore subsidiary of the State Bank of India. Mr. Lala is also a Member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP). He has also been a part of several high-powered government enquiries/committees.
Mr. Lala is Chartered Accountant and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. He is the lead author of 'The IFS Guide to Mauritian Company Law'.

Mr. Näegeli, a Member of the Board of Directors of ABN Amro, Switzerland and its affiliated companies, started his professional career as a Trader at Paul E. Schweder, Miller, London. He joined Swiss Bank Corporation, Zurich as the Client Advisor for Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Greece region He went on to assume responsibility in the Capital Markets and Mutual Fund businesses of the group at Luxembourg before rising up the ranks as the Head of Debt and Equity Capital Markets at Zurich. He has also worked with Goldman Sachs & Co. in the Capital Markets. Mr. Näegeli was a Member of the Corporate Finance & Equity Executive Committee and Extended Swiss Regional Management Committee of SBC/UBS Warburg, He has also been associated with the Vontobel Group assuming significant responsibilities in various capacities. He has been the Chief Executive Officer of Vontobel Asset Management, Vontobel Funds Services AG and Investment Banking (including Private Equity Holding). He was on several Board of Directorships and a Member of the Executive Committee of the Vontobel Group.
Mr Näegeli's vast and illustrious career also includes a tenure with Credit Suisse, Dubai as its Chief Executive Officer and its Regional Head for the Middle East. In addition to this he was a a Member of the Global Executive Council of Credit Suisse and was Partner and Member of the Board of Directors of Swiss Asset Partners Group.
Mr. Näegeli completed his diploma from the KV Business School of Commerce (BMS), Zurich. He has participated in several programs on Management, Leadership and Pricing at the Harvard Business School organised by Professor Fisher Black and Goldman Sachs Co. He has also completed a course on advanced Corporate Finance and Mergers & Acquisitions, Zurich & University of Stanford (SBC), and Swiss Bank Corporation Management Development Program.

Mr. Thwaytes has great expertise on the regulations of the Financial Services Authority (FSA), the London Stock Exchange (LSE), Company Law and Compliance issues. His experience would be favorable in configuring a sound regulatory and compliance framework for the GBOT.
Mr. Thwaytes is the founder Chairman of Options Direct (Europe) Ltd. (ODL), a brokerage service specializing in a wide range of products. The company is a member of the London Stock Exchange (LSE) and the London International Financial Futures Exchange (LIFFE) with offices in London, New York, Chicago, Tokyo and Monaco. He was responsible for the conformity of the Group with FSA regulations. He was also involved in the Group's strategic development bearing special responsibility for new business ventures and markets. In addition, he was responsible for the financial division of the Group, AIM placings and evaluation.
Mr. Thwaytes was a chief trader at Mees Pierson ICL Ltd. He was also a chief trader on Derivatives Market of LIFFE at Baring Securities Ltd. He has also been associated with Baily Shatkin Ltd. as a senior trader. Mr. Thwaytes is a Freeman of the City of London. In the organizations he has worked with, he has enabled unprecedented progress. His understanding of the exchange regulations would lead to the establishment of GBOT as an exchange cultivating robust exchange trading practices.

Mr. O'Connell brings to GBOT great expertise acquired over years in the financial domain. He has worked with a number of organizations; assuming key positions. He has been instrumental in steering them onto the roads of progress. His insight and understanding of the financial domain would be valuable in thrusting GBOT into a successful global exchange.
Mr. O'Connell was the former managing director of Asia-Pacific operations and interim leader of European operations for MF Global Ltd. The company is an intermediary offering customized solutions in global cash, derivatives and related markets. As a senior leader of Asia-Pacific, he oversees operations in India, Dubai, Australia, Singapore, Taiwan, Japan and Hong Kong.
Mr. O'Connell has served as the Chief Executive Officer of Asia for Man Financial and Chief Operating Officer for Man Investments Ltd., the Man Group Plc's Asset Management division. He was also the Chief Financial Officer of the Global Equity Capital Markets business of Credit Suisse First Boston. Prior to that, he served as the Director of Operations of the Corporate Broking division of Barclays de Zoete Wedd. He has also worked with Transcontinental Services NV serving as the Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary and was the Chief Accountant of its predecessor company, Esperanza International Services Plc.
Mr. O'Connell is a qualified Chartered Accountant with the firm of Binder Hamlyn, which he joined in 1979. He graduated with a degree in Modern History from the Oxford University.

A multi-commodity derivatives exchange for the global investing community ought to have professionals with vast experience in the commodity markets space. It is precisely this need that is addressed by Mr. Kaushik, who brings along diverse experience of over a decade in the Commodities and Debt markets space.
Currently, Mr. Kaushik serves as the Head of Commodities – Sales and Structuring for South Asia, responsible for structuring and sales for Barclays' South Asian commodity business. The significance of this stint is derived from the fact that Barclays is one of the largest commodity banks in the world and provides OTC derivatives and financing solutions to clients worldwide. The main commodities traded include Oil, Base Metals, Precious metals, Carbon Credits, Coal, and other agricultural commodities.
Mr. Kaushik previous assignments include one with the Goldman Sachs group. He worked in Goldman Sachs, as an Executive Director and was responsible for handling their commodity business in the Indian sub-continent and Singapore. He has also assumed strategic roles with reputed organizations such as DSP Merrill Lynch; where he served as Vice President, Commodity Risk Management and also had a stint with the ICICI Bank.
Mr. Kaushik is a Chemical Engineer from India and also is an MBA.

Mr. Taposeea brings to GBOT over two decades of enriching experience in the banking and the financial services sector. During his tenure, he has assumed significant senior management roles in which capacity he has created and executed many business differentiation strategies, revitalized and strengthened organizational infrastructures of large private sector companies and banks.
Mr. Taposeea is currently serving as the Chairman, Air Mauritius. Prior to his association with GBOT, he has worked with Al Rajhi Financial Services Company (Investment Banking Group) as the General Manager. He was also a member of the Executive Committee. He was accountable for three lines of business including Asset Management, Brokerage and Corporate Finance involving key responsibilities for Strategy, P&L, Operations, and Stakeholder Relationships.
Mr. Taposeea has had tenure with Standard Bank, Mauritius as the Regional Managing Director overseeing the activities of the bank in areas of Corporate & Investment Banking, Retail Banking, Wealth Management, Treasury, and Offshore Banking. He was instrumental in rolling out acquisition strategy to consolidate the Bank's position in the Indian Ocean.
Mr. Taposeea has worked in various capacities at the Barclays Bank Plc., Mauritius; British American Insurance Co. (Mauritius) Ltd.; Mauritius Export Development & Investment Authority (M.E.D.I.A.); DST International, Singapore; CEDEL BANK, Luxembourg and J.P. Morgan. In these capacities, he has led cross-functional, multicultural teams in complex, critical missions and setting-up assignments.
Mr. Taposeea has a Licence of Law (L.L.B.) from the University of Buckingham, Barrister-at-Law from the Council of Legal Education, London. He holds a Masters degree in International & Comparative Law (LLM) from Vrije University, Brussels, Belgium. He has also been a participant at the J.P. Morgan Finance Program, Wall Street, New York, USA and at the 'Leadership for the Cutting Edge', Gordon Institute of Business Science, Johannesburg, South-Africa.
