Mr. Chong Ah Yan brings to GBOT decades of invaluable experience in the field of consultancy. Mr. Chong Ah Yan has undertaken consultancy assignments with reputed organizations such as Alliot, Mauritius and has directed assignments for the public sector, as well as for commercial, industrial and financial sectors in many countries of the African continent. The assignments have included work on Strategy, Systems, Financial Studies and Human Resources.
Among Mr. Chong Ah Yan's prior assignments is a stint with Coopers & Lybrand, Mauritius. In his capacity of Senior Partner of the firm, he was responsible for running and developing the firm in Mauritius in accordance to the Coopers & Lybrand International standards of work, behaviour and ethics. He was also in charge of preserving and enhancing the reputation and integrity of Coopers & Lybrand International. Apart from this, he also has been a part of the council of Coopers & Lybrand Africa, a regional organization comprising all the African firms.
During his vast and illustrious career, Mr. Chong Ah Yan has held significant positions such as the Chairman - the Mauritius Company Law Advisory Committee; President, the Rotary Club of Port Louis; the Honorary Consul, the Republic of Korea in Mauritius; and International Administration Manager, Computer Technology S.A., France. He has also served as partner for Mauritius firms Deloitte Haskins + Sells and De Chazal Du Mée & Co. and as an Independent Director on various boards including those of offshore funds.
Mr. Chon Ah Yan has graduated in Economics from the London School of Economics (LSE) and holds a dual accounting qualification of being both a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Certified Accountants and a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants in the UK.

Mr. Bucktowonsing is an Independent Law practice professional with decades of
experience in practicing judicial and extra judicial cases related to Labour Law, Civil
and Contractual Law, Commercial Law, Bankruptcy, Company and Insolvency Law,
Banking Law, Shipping Law, and Intellectual Property Law.
Mr. Bucktowonsing, qualified as Attorney in June, 1984, is a Legal adviser and an
Attorney to various Indian and international firms of repute such as Bank One Ltd.,
Mauritius Housing Company Ltd., Life Insurance Corporation of India Ltd. (LIC), the
Municipal Council of Port Louis, Financial Services Commission, the Mauritius Shipping
Corporation, the Mauritius Standards Bureau, Air Seychelles Ltd., Marine Foods
Holding BV, Alliance Marie L.L.C., Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, Den Danske
Bank, Siemens Aktiengesellchaft, Stoll Financial Services, the Malayan Banking Berhad
(Maybank), and the PT Indonesea International Bank (BII). He also assumes the role of
an Advisor to the Rainbow Insurance Company and Leadway Insurance Company
Ltd., and assists them in areas of liquidation and receivership. He is affiliated to
Carrington Associates, solicitors practising in the UK.
During his vast and illustrious career, Mr. Bucktowonsing has assumed key positions
such as the President and Member, the Rotary Club of Beau Bassin Rose Hill and
United Way Mauritius; President, the Council of the Law Society; Member,
Environment Appeal Tribunal; Member, Steering Sub-Committee on Insolvency and
Creditors Rights; and Charter President & Member, the Rotary Club of Flacq.
Mr. Bucktowonsing has also served as a member of the District Conference
Committee on three occasions, Assistant District Governor for District 9220 of the
Rotary International and President of the District Conference Organising Committee.

Mr. Bathfield enriches the team of GBOT with over four decades of invaluable
experience in varied fields of the financial domain. He has worked in several
capacities assuming significant roles in prominent organizations such as the Stock
Exchange of Mauritius. His expertise will enable him to contribute extensively in the
development of GBOT as a world-class, technology driven, multi-asset global
exchange.
Mr. Bathfield who currently practices as a business consultant, started his career as an
Auditor in a firm of Chartered Accountants, New Zealand. He later joined Kemp
Chatteris, Mauritius as an Audit Manager. He also held the position of Finance
Manager in Lonrho Sugar Corporation, Mauritius, and went on to assume the role of
an Assistant General Manager.
Mr. Bathfield, hereafter worked overseas, successively in Houston as Financial
Controller, in Paris as Assistant Commercial Manager and in London as Business
Development Manager. He also served as the Managing Director of International
Management (Mauritius) Ltd. and as an Executive Director, International & Financial
Services at Rogers & Co. Ltd. He was also the Chairman of the Stock Exchange of
Mauritius.
Mr. Bathfield is a qualified Chartered Accountant.
