Global Board of Trade Ltd. (GBOT) is licensed by the Financial Services Commission (FSC), the Regulator for non-bank financial services sector in Mauritius for initiating futures trading in commodities. GBOT is the 1st international multi-asset derivatives exchange based in Mauritius offering a basket of Commodities and Currency and proposing to initiate trading in Debt and Equity products. This FSC approval is in line with Mauritius government's vision of being a preferred business hub for the African continent.
The move to establish GBOT is a natural corollary to the island nation's status of a leading banking and financial centre in the region. GBOT endeavours to introduce modern market mechanisms into Africa's financial market ecosystem and to serve as the platform for the global investing community.
